This charming boy deserves the world, and we are hopeful we can finally find him a forever home that will love him as much as we do. This process helps with the transition of shelter life to a new home for both the animal and its new owners. Every animal goes through a socialization program and is evaluated so we may match them with their new family. He loves relaxing outside, specially in a cool dirt pile. Harvest Hills has taken great care to avoid euthanasia whenever possible. Ace MUST be an only animal, and his ideal home would be fairly rural. He’s cuddly, listens fairly well, and is constantly making us laugh. HarvestHillsAnimal Shelter, 1839 Bridgton Rd., Fryeburg(207935 4358. This good boy has always been a staff favorite. Lots of people like to go skiing and leave their dog, so we usually offer winter. He is also incredibly playful, though is super overweight at the moment so must play carefully. At around a year old Vera was found on the side of the road emaciated, dirty, and lethargic. This sweet 2 year old mix has had quite the crazy start to her life. He has lived with children, including autistic children, and will soak up all the belly rubs you can give. Happy doesn’t do this girl justice Miss Vera is always ready for an adventure, and excited just to be involved. First, his human went off to college and didn’t have a suitable home for him, and most recently divorce caused financial issues inducing a move he wasn’t able to be part of. Animal control officers from the communities bring these animals in. He first came in to our care in 2016, at just 2 years old! Since that time Ace has been returned from two loving homes for circumstances out of his control.
